Fortnite has featured numerous iconic crossovers over the years, but few anime collaborations have made as big an impact as the Naruto Shippuden collection. Epic Games officially introduced the ninja world to the Battle Royale island across two major release waves, bringing a total of eight fan-favorite characters to the game. Understanding which outfits are available and how to purchase them can help players complete their shinobi collection during Item Shop rotations.
The Original Team 7 Roster
The first wave of the Naruto collaboration debuted in November 2021, featuring the primary members of Team 7. Players can acquire Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake. Each character features distinct alternate styles that reflect key moments and outfits from the anime series.
These outfits were originally sold individually or bundled together in special shop offers. For example, Naruto and Kakashi were grouped in one character bundle, while Sasuke and Sakura formed another pairing. Each skin comes bundled with matching back blings, such as Naruto's Scroll or Kakashi's Pakkun.
Rivals and Legendary Shinobi
Following the massive success of the initial release, Epic Games expanded the set by adding four additional characters. The second wave added Itachi Uchiha, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Hinata Hyuga to the game's cosmetic library. This addition allowed fans to represent iconic villains and rival ninjas alongside the core heroes.
Similar to the first wave, these outfits are available as individual purchases or through discounted character bundles. The Itachi & Orochimaru Bundle brings two formidable rogue ninjas together, while the Gaara & Hinata Bundle offers powerful allies with unique back blings and gliders. These characters also include unique cosmetic items, including Hidan's Scythe pickaxe and Gaara's Sand Cloud glider.
How to Unlock Naruto Skins in Fortnite
Unlike some promotional cosmetics that are tied to battle passes or event challenges, all eight Naruto skins are Item Shop exclusives. Players can purchase individual outfits for 1,500 V-Bucks each or save money by buying character bundles ranging between 2,100 and 2,400 V-Bucks. Additional cosmetic gear like pickaxes, emotes, and gliders can be bought separately or in dedicated gear packs.
Because these outfits are shop cosmetics, they are only available when Epic Games rotates the Naruto set back into the daily Item Shop. Players looking to grab these ninja skins should save their V-Bucks and monitor daily shop updates for their return.
